5. and jpg is not a last name. It is an extension of a computer file

referring to anything that is not text: graphics, photos, etc.

When you post something with the jpg extension the medium, like DU, will recognize this as a non text file. gif, too.

And that's all my wintel knowledge. Mac does not use any of those..
