6:36 p.m. -- Al Gore and Leonardo DiCaprio take the stage to announce that the Oscar show has "gone green." Gore says that environmental practices have been involved with all aspects of the show. DiCaprio says that Gore is "a true champion" in the cause against global warming. DiCaprio eggs Gore to make a major announcement tonight. Gore says that with a billion people watching he will take this opportunity "to formal announce my intention ...," at which point he is interrupted by swelling music, reminding them that their time is up.
