Is Politico.com a right wing 'news' source?

I seem to remember hearing outrage when they first premiered that politico was a right wing rag dressed up as "news". I must admit that I do not go there. I have tons of other "news" sites that I prefer, plus there is only such much news that one can digest on a daily basis.

A quick search at Media Matters shows nothing but complaints and claims about Politico forgiving republicans, false claims attacking dems, ignoring subjectivity, and noncritical thinking when it comes to the issues.

I ask you, the educated and informed DU masses, is politico right leaning? Should it be quoted in here as "the gospel" as it is on a near daily basis?

I remember a while back that someone called C-Spin and asked why they don't have someone from Media Matters on instead of a right wing slanting (hard) source like politico. He was hung up on pretty quickly.
