High Court Rules Against G-Strings, Pasties

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The U.S. Supreme Court has dealt a blow to Daytona Beach strip clubs in a seven-year legal fight.

Justices refused a request by Lollipops Gentleman's Club to review city laws requiring conservative bikinis of dancers working in clubs that serve alcohol. Lollipops wanted to let the women wear G-strings and pasties.

The high court's decision upheld one last year by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

An attorney for the city said the fight is finally over.

1. Conservative bikinis. Is that an oxymoron or what?
Makes me wonder who measures the bikinis. A new city job. Taxpayer money at work.

2. Well that's a relief. You would not want anyone wearing g-strings and pasties. I am so relieved

they are ignoring the minor issue of torture in order to keep up with important issues like the attire of strippers.

5. Plenty of other places to go in nearby cities.
All these city ordinances accomplish is reducing the business tax base and causing increases in property tax for homeowners. Dumb.
