56. The Rich, and the Upper Middle Class Republicans, and the Ditto Heads
The Rich have prospered under Bush, except for a certain number who care about pragmatism, the long term standing of the US, the People of the Us, and these Wealthy vote Democratic, and even a small # of Republicans are now voting Democratic. Then you have some of the upper-middle class, and the middle managers, and the small business owners who hate the Democratic Party. They will never vote Democratic, even though BushCo has hurt them also with his Norquist Economy. And, finally the Ditto Heads. Working Class, but Hates the Democratic Party because of the abuses of social welfare, but able to blame every problem, like Mike Savage, Limbaugh, and O'Reilly, etcetera do, on those Goddam Libruls. These are Bush's 19%. They will never vote Democratic. They will always blame every problem on the Democrats. And, for those not Rich, will never realize how the Very Wealthy Republicans have played them for fools. Unfortunately, these people rarely wake up, and look at the world through someone elses viewpoint.

By the way, what is the number of the Wealthy People who are not Republican loyalist, I am guessing, roughly 60%. But, of that 60% are people who will vote Republican, until the whole American World is about to collapse, like it is on the verge of collapsing now. To these people I would like to ask a question, why let it get this bad before you are working for a change?

Old Josef STALIN was wise enough to never let such thing as "approval rating" get in his way.. He was their sole leader from 1928 to 1953... And he was doing a pretty god job of killing everyone who may remember past him... And them who survived was to afraid of the NKVD to try to do something that silly to get a approval rating out...

Mr Bush have been a catastrophe for US from day One. From the day he step into the choose of his Father, mr Clinton and the rest of the president before him... He have destroyed so mutch of what US really are that the next president, and the president after him, have the work cut out for him... Maybe in 20 years time the next generation that is following us who live today, can remember US with fondness... Today you have the memories of fondness, and a deep nagging fear of what US can do next...

But, it is just a year to this catastrophe of a man is out of office, and then we may stop this nagging fear of what US are up to next, and thar a intelligent smart, and a trustworthy men/woman are elected as your next president.. And then maybe repair what is damaged at your repotation...

Hopefully US would stand a few year down the road as it once stood a god nation, a decent nation a nation who the rest could trust was doing the right thing.. Hopefully

I have never heard of that poll before and I wish it would be a more prominent one! Don't get me wrong I can't understand the 30% of the country that is still voting fo the party of Tricky Dick Nixon they have not changed much at all since Watergate just got smarter in controlling the media to squash any real reporting on their failures. The big thing about it is I have to face a RigthWIngNut at work and when I say the Shrub hit 19% he immediately looked up the poll and started saying crap about how looney the ARG was. Being diplomatic I said yeah it is not a Faux Poll so I'm sure they will report him higher there! So who can tell me where this organization gets it's funding. I looked up the ratings here and this poll was not listed http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob1.htm

Any ideas how to show this as a legit one?

54. Why the Drop, in 1 month from 34% Approval to 19%, It's The Economy.
Americans often can deny many things, but once it starts affecting the pocket book, Watch Out. We the People need to not allow tyrannical psychopaths from being in the White House ever again. 1st off America, the Republicans only care about themselves, it's part of their platform. 2nd, how could anyone ever think that a GWB could run this country? Even Jeb would not have done as lame of a job. Jeb is a much better liar. 3rd, Dick Cheney. Anyone, who knows US history would have told you what type of man Dick Cheney, as well as Donald Rumsfeld, would have been. 4rth, He lied, He lied, He lied, He lied, He lied, and the Majority of Republicans kept supporting him in the Judiciary, and the Legislature, Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, Alito, Boehner, McConnell, DeLay, etcetera, all great liars, all forewent their Constitutional duties to protect our Nation. But, how do you get to 19% approval? The vast majority are suffering financially.

the blackhole deficits, the weakening of the military and the corruption of the defense industry, the desecration of justice, the cronyism, the incompetence... but now their aching pocketbooks hurt. Didn't care about 4 million Iraqi refugees, they'd still buy into "the surge is working." I never cease to be shocked and awed. Welcome to DU.

61. OK, who's the idiot 1%?
Among Democrats (43% of adults registered to vote in the survey), 1% approve and 99% disapprove of the way Bush is handling his job.

And no, we don't have to wait for fucking future history to know that. Said it four/five/six years ago and I will say it again today (Don't really remember when I started saying it - at one point it was merely a prediction, and a bit earlier, a ultimately smashed weakly felt unrealistic hope that maybe possibly he wouldn't be.)

I can hear DUHbya now, "As the great ma...madam...mya Candy said. When you're a majority of 1 that's ok. As long as I'm the majority."

Edited on Thu Feb-21-08 11:34 AM by dh1760
what Bush's approval ratings are? Why not just assume they're zero? After all:

- it's a pretty good bet that his approval ratings here are zero.
- regardless of his approval ratings, he can't be re-elected.
- regardless of his approval ratings, he will be here for 10 more months.
- regardless of his approval ratings, he won't be impeached.

On edit: I clicked Post too soon ... sorry! :(
