Acquitted of Murder, Neo-Nazi Killer Taunts Victim's Family
Acquitted of Murder, Neo-Nazi Killer Taunts Victim's Family

Even by the twisted standards of the neo-Nazi underworld, Hardy Lloyd is one sick individual.

Even by the twisted standards of the neo-Nazi underworld, Hardy Lloyd is one sick individual. The 30-year-old skinhead, who describes himself as the "doctor of all hate," was kicked out of the ultra-violent World Church of the Creator in 2003 after he was involuntarily committed to a mental hospital. "I do not believe killing is wrong," Lloyd wrote in 2004. "Our new religion must be the worship of death and murder."

Later that year, Lloyd (right) was arrested for murder after he killed his girlfriend. The victim, 41-year-old Lori Hann, was a divorced legal secretary who met Lloyd through an Internet dating service. Lloyd admitted shooting Hann in the face during an argument over another woman, but claimed that she'd threatened him with a handgun minutes earlier and that he fired in self-defense.

Prosecutors argued that Hann was gunned down in the street while running for help (she'd pulled over her car and gotten out in front of a stranger's house with Lloyd in the passenger seat), and pointed out that Hann was unarmed when Lloyd shot her (Hann's handgun was found in her vehicle). Nevertheless, a jury in November 2006 acquitted Lloyd of first-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter, finding him guilty only of carrying a firearm without a license.

Narrowly escaping a murder conviction has done nothing to dampen Lloyd's enthusiasm for celebrating violence, including mass murder, on his "Universal Fascism" website, on which he encourages fascists of all colors to unite and kill Jews. But in recent weeks he's sunken to a new sadistic low by taunting Hann's loved ones and bragging about ending her life by posting lyrics to his own sadistic versions of hit pop songs and gangsta rap singles.

Last Dec. 22, for example, Lloyd posted the lyrics to "'Bitch Killer,' as sung by Hardy Lloyd," a take on rapper Ice-T's controversial 1992 single "Cop Killer." Here's a sampling of the lyrics:

I got my 380 cocked off.
I got my headlights turned off.
I'm bout to bust some shots off.
I'm bout to dust some bitch off.

BITCH killer, better her than me.
BITCH killer, fuck Hann's family.
BITCH killer, I know Lori's family's grievin'
BITCH killer, but tonight I got even.

4. A jury acquitted this psychopath?
That must either have been the most incompetent prosecution team since OJ, or there must be something seriously wrong with the water supply around those parts.

7. Apparently, the jury listened to the evidence- as opposed to emotion
and applied the law to the facts.

8. Well, if the facts were similar to those reported in the story...

...the guy killed an unarmed woman who was trying to get help from neighbors. Doesn't sound much like "self defense" to me.

Anyway, on what do you base your assertion about how the jury made their decision? They could have tossed a coin, for all you know.

10. Gotta read the link
http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/today/s_478199.html

In a taped statement to police that was played during the trial, Lloyd said the night of the shooting that he had been with a new girlfriend, Lisa Donato, and later met Hann in front of his apartment.

He got into Hann's car. She started driving erratically and saying life had no meaning. Lloyd was able to get her to pull over on Beacon Street. Hann then pulled out a gun, pointed it at him and cocked it, the statement said.

Hann then got out of her car, walking towards a stranger's house, and Lloyd followed. Lloyd said he fired his own gun when Hann spun around, thinking she was going to shoot him, he said in the statement.

Police found her gun in her car beside the driver's-side door and seat.

Joan Gordon, a member of the jury, which consisted of nine women and three men, said the panel believed the prosecution did not disprove beyond a reasonable doubt that Lloyd acted in self-defense.

15. OK, the link's working again.

When I clicked it the first time, it was dead.

It still looks like the prosecution screwed-up the case. After all, Lloyd followed Hahn after she allegedly pulled the gun on him. She was walking away, and he followed, seemingly with his weapon drawn. A decent lawyer could have kicked the legs out from under a "self defense" claim right there. He would have been in no danger of immediate harm if he'd simply walked away, or not followed Hahn.

Of course, we only have Lloyd's word for it that Hahn pulled a gun on him at all. From the description in the article, the location Hahn's gun was found in could have been the place she kept it all the time. If Lloyd and Hahn had been dating for some time, he could easily have known she kept a gun in the car. Also, if I'd just pulled out a gun and waved it in someone's face, I wouldn't then leave it where the person I'd been threatening could pick it up.

So the bare facts are that there was no evidence Hahn threatened Lloyd at all, she was unarmed, and was walking away from Lloyd toward a stranger's house. Yet he shot her in "self defense." Riiight.

16. No doubt he had a good attorney
and the prosecution might have done better.

Even so, this guy's not exactly a sympathetic defendant- so I have to think that what the jury heard must have been compelling.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I'd have bought the story.

11. I'm guessing that someone on the jury sympathizes with his bizarre views
and that's why he was acquitted.
