McCain is a hypocrite with his campaign finance reform scam .......
The Keating Five.

Google it if you're not sure what its about.

At its heart, it was about the banker who led the way on the Savings and Loan Crisis in the late 80s and early 90s, goodd old Charles Keating and His Bionic Check Book.

You see, Chuck was a thief, pure and simple. His bank was, to him, the same as a safe cracker's stethoscope.

When it started to get hot, he made HUGE contributions to the campaigns of five senators. All, I believe, are still alive and all but Maverick Johnnny is long since gone from Congress. Also, all but Johnny are Democrats.

For Johnny, it seems to me that his 'work' on campaign finance reform is pretty much the same as those (more often than not) Repubican perverts who write tougher child sexual predator laws. The laws are tough because the authors know first hand all the buttons to push.

Insane McCain is a hypocrite.

He's also a gold digger, but we won't talk about that here.

By the way .... the S&L crisis was huge and affected all of society. Much personal savings was gone in an Enron-like collapse. The long and short of it is that it was caused by DEREGULATION.

The job of government is to protect and serve the people. Sometimes that means clipping the wings of big bidniss (and I'm a capitalist). Unregulated is often bad.

Unfettered Repubicanism® is always even worse.
