we don't need a stimulus package

4. The government should seize just ONE oil company by eminent domain and put it in receivership.
I nominate Exxon-Mobil.

6. this was an email from a repuke and my answer
The government should cap income, set pay scales and redistribute wealth? Are you crazy? That comment obviously came from a lazy slacker who thinks hardworking Americans should pay his bills

No, maybe it is just someone tired of paying $3.09 for gas so the oil billionaires can have more money. Like cutting the price of gas even $1 would hurt their lifestyle. Think what kind of economic stimulation package that would be for everyone.

8. and the repukes keep saying the economy is fine
people I know are not driving for fun, they drive only when they have to

for work, doctors appts ect...

other things are being let go. We eat at home a LOT more often than we used to

we do all of our errands in one day so we do not do excess driving

we have stopped going to the movies

we stopped renting movies

we haven't bought new clothes or music in a long while

and we make decent money...I am sure others that are just barely getting by are cutting back on a LOT more things

13. Went to the store a little later than I usually like to
b/c I was getting a new battery in my car. I don't like to go after 2:30 b/c the stores are more crowded as the people get off work. Today at 3:45 I had no problem finding a close parking place, didn't have to fight people blocking the aisles and didn't have to wait in line to get checked out.
Could it be because eggs are over $2 a dozen (I got 6 for $1.12)? Campbell's cream of mushroom soup went up 20 cents since Christmas time. The only things I bought that weren't higher were cat litter and over the counter meds.
People are feeling the pinch.
