10. It is obvious that they are testing "star wars" technology. Now the U.S. can threaten other...
countries that they can shoot down their satellites if they want to.

17. The spy satellite was already too low in orbit to be a valid test of "Star Wars"
When the Chinese shot down their own malfunctioning satellite, that was a tougher shot and more like the concept of Star Wars than this was. This was basically a test of a SMIII missile scenario, not shooting down a working satellite. Oh, and probably getting rid of evidence of some sort of technology advance they don't want getting out.

12. Nah - Almost Of It Will Come Down In The Next Few Months
It was about to hit the atmosphere anyway - some parts will fly higher, but not that much higher, then they'll come back down.

(Not that I'm endorsing this test.)
