1. Why Cindy? Why not ask if John is proud?
Explain to me the pride one can expect from this.

2. Check the web..Cindy McCain herself was an "extramarital affair"
for John M. when he was married to his first wife(who had been seriously injured in an accident)..So Cindy shouldn't be at all surprised.

5. Damn right
When you steal another woman's husband, what you end up winning . . . is someone who cheats on his wife!

3. Probably about as proud of John
As Hillary is of Bill, just saying this is not a story the Hillary campaign can gain any traction from or even mention. The McCain campaign probably "leaked" it to go ahead and make sure nobody cares in the months to come. 8-10 years ago is to far in the past, especially since McCain isn't seen as one of the extreme right-wingers that we get our usual deviant hypocritical sex scandals from.

6. It may not be a big issue here, but.....
Edited on Wed Feb-20-08 11:07 PM by nightrider767
but it will certainly cost him points with the Repug Evangelical and conservative base.

No they may not vote for a Dem.

The problem for Johny McCain is if they don't vote at all.....

The Democrats are coming out of the woodwork in states like Texas.

13. Go Texans!
I moved to San Antonio last year. I found the city to be very moderate. I'm not surprised at all that people are getting sick of the Repugs...

15. I couldn't say for sure but,,
What I do see is that the timing of this release, considering all the infighting going on now over John McCain, indicates that only certain Republicans could profit with this coming out now. I have no idea if Huccabee could have known. But he stayed in and the whole thing seems sort of suspicious.

If someone in the Barack or Hillary camp wanted to sink John's boat they certainly would have waited till much later.

We'll see how this plays out. I think it's big. If it's true, the bigger issue might be "undue" influence by a lobbyist and perhaps criminal charges. But if it does go into meltdown Huccabbe might profit from it.

And let's not forget ROMNEY.

18. tucker said "i thought we agreed weren't going to do this anymore"
in other words--after all the bill clinton crap that went on for years on the part of the republikas, the republikas thought "we" all agreed it was bad and we wouldn't rip into another politician over a measly affair.

--no one asked me tucker. i never agreed to this.
