Okay, re: satellite shootdown. If I put on my tinfoil hat... |
|
Is it possible that, in order to save the hugely expensive and profitable anti-ballistic-missile system and to impress the hell out of anybody thinking about launching a nuke at us, that this whole thing was a setup?
Could it be that the "spy satellite" was just a dummy, perhaps with a transponder on it so the missile could find it easier?
In this fashion there would be a lublically successful, proof of concept test and we'd be upstaging and warning the Chinese, Pakistanis, Indians, North Koreans, and Iranians.
Not to mention obscuring where the real spy satellite is and what it's taking pictures of.

after pulling out of the China olympics & we'll all be treated to some "boffo" video of how we shot the bad ole toxic satellite down..
What I want to know is this...
Will the MAKER of that P.O.S. gizmo, be reimbursing the government what we PAID to launch & "shoot it down"??

shoddy work? What an imagination. Like that's ever going to happen, not even when they get caught dead to rights. The object is to get the money... The got that already. Shit happens and America is not a 3rd world country yet, so they will get the contract for the 'replacement'.

4. It is more likely it was a demonstration of their satellite kill system. |
|
As part of their ongoing effort to start a space weapons race. We have dozens of spy satellites.

1)another country might remote blow up your satellite. 2)blowing up things in orbit is really a bad thing to do in terms of space debris.

10. IF they actually shot it down, yeah could have been a commercial for the program |
|
But I gotta wonder what might be on that satellite's black box equivalent that might fall into the wrong hands too. I can't believe this administration would really be concerned with people getting hurt from falling equipment or toxic fuels. Hell, toxic fuels is their driving force!

China shot down a satellite in last January, the U.S. logged a formal diplomatic protests, then coincidentally a year later we happen to do it too. But of course we have legitimate reasons, ie, aren't afraid of bald faced lying.

|
launch a target satellite as a would-be "spy satellite" that "fails" shortly after launch, to use as both a test and a demonstration of asat technology.
but this mis-administration wouldn't be the kind to use that kind of subterfuge, would it?

It was a very expensive spy satellite that didn't work because of the terrible idea of acquisition reform forced on the satellite community under the rethug congress. The satellites budget and launch date are certainly known. They certainly didn't waste that money on a fake satellite and the launch of said satellite just to put a fake satellite in orbit to blow up. Particularly since the missile they choose to use wasn't part of the anti-ballistic missile system. The fact that did not use any of the kill vehicles developed, bought and sold by Bushes pet project speaks volumes about how effective the military thinks the system is.

The military or the government . We will never know a thing about what this satellite was or if it had this fuel .
There is a long history of hidden truth and we can add this one to the on going total .
