William Jefferson was arrested and McCain should be. |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-21-08 12:57 PM by demgurl
That is, William Jefferson, the congressman, was arrested on bribery charges and if the allegations against McCain are true, this means he is guilty of accepting bribes and he should be arrested and put in jail. It should not be swept under a rug because McCain denies it. It is up to our legal system to figure out if he is guilty or not.
This case has nothing to do with sex except that is the currency McCain was paid with. This is a bribery case and one where the citizens' interests were hurt because McCain chose to vote the way his sex partner wanted him to.
Am I the only one seeing the criminal case here and wondering why he has not been arrested so this whole thing can legally be sorted out? This is one crazy world we live in.

as I stated in my first sentence, it was William Jefferson Clinton when they found all the bribery money in his freezer. They just can not go around arresting Democrats for accepting bribes and leave Republicans alone. Everyone should be treated the same way under the law.

14. OK I took a STUPID pill this morning... |
|
it is William Jefferson....not William Jefferson CLinton. Which makes a mockery of the point I was trying to make. My main point applies but I did it stupidly. Very stupidly and I fixed the title of the original thread.
Anyway, McCain need sto be brought up on bribery charges. Plain and simple.
Signed by someone who needs to take smart pills now.

You must be thinking of William J. Jefferson. The representative who was caught with the money in his freezer.

NOT Bill Clinton. OK, I am playing with everyone a bit because I think people are comparing McCain to the wrong Clinton. (since it was not a Clinton at all!) People are seeing this for a sex scandal instead of a bribery scandal which it is. I think McCain needs to be arrested just as William Jefferson Clinton was - for bribery.
EDIT because I am freakin' stupid. Don't know where my mind is today but it was William Jefferson.....just no Clinton on the end.

17. Get your facts straight |
|
You are obviously talking about Bill Jefferson, Congressman from the Second Congressional District of Louisiana (which includes New Orleans. $90,000 of "cold hard cash" was found by the Feds in Jefferson's freezer. William Jefferson Clinton was never arrested for bribery. He was, however, impeached by a vindictive, petty and hypocritical Republican controlled Congress. Please get the persons straight before posting please!!
BTW, I am a former resident of the Second Congressional District of Louisiana .

I will blame it on the insomnia I had last night. Went to bed around 4 and was up at 8. At any rate, I did know my facts I just did not state them correctly. My fault...mea culpa. Thanks for providing the information. I had already corrected the title of the thread as well as correcting myself down thread.
