Trent Lott under Federal investigation...
Some days (ok, most days) it just sucks to be a republican...

U.S. Investigates Whether Lott Had Role in Mississippi Judge Case
By Paulo Prada and Ashby Jones
Word Count: 970

Federal agents are investigating whether former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott knowingly played a role in an alleged conspiracy in 2006 to influence a Mississippi judge presiding over a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against famed plaintiff attorney Richard "Dickie" Scruggs, according to people familiar with the situation.

Mr. Scruggs and several associates are scheduled to stand trial March 31 on charges that they offered $40,000 in bribes to State Court Judge Henry L. Lackey in return for a favorable ruling in a lawsuit against Mr. Scruggs over $26.5 million in legal fees.

They leave with their bag of plunder instead of being investigated by Congress and losing their pensions, etc. That is not good policy..."change of face law".

Same with Gingrich, Hastert, DeLay, Dole, etc. They were involved in illegal things. The Congress is so kind to their own. I'd say the Congress and our government right now is "lawless".

Even genocide is not addressed by Congress by agency heads such as Rice, Powell, Rumsfled, Brownie and Chernoff.

Failure to do over sight is the reason our representatives are doing what they do...no one says...hey you're not honest and we will expose your crimes, etc.

Why allow Presidents, x-Presidents on tax payers rolls, etc. to be members of secret organizations who don't look after our best interests (Trilateral Commission, Bilderbery Group, etc.)?

There is no over sight Congress!!! The leading candidates won't do it since they are members also.
