not the people who told the story.

26. Tucker Carlson was asked about it yesterday and tried to minimize |
|
the impact. Then he whined, 'Didn't we agree not to talk about this kind of thing?" He said it about three times. No, Tucker, we didn't. And how does it feel, wanker?

Such a conundrum for supporters of the party of values. Who to hate more, the black guy, the evil liberal female, the non-conservative mccain or the fucking lying NYT. Lord it must be madness in basements from coast to coast.

4. Well, the right wingers I work with are actually HAPPY with the story... |
|
They have it pinned up all over my door this morning BEFORE I even get to work. Claim it will only help McCain. They have Rush turned up loud and seem to take delight in it.
Yes, they are idiots.

5. note to the 'patriots' over on the Right (there has to be a better word to describe them): |
|
"No government ought to be without censors & where the press is free, no one ever will."
Thomas Jefferson (1743 - 1826) letter to George Washington, September 9, 1792

who was too eager to plaster a certain intern all over his site now he runs his headline story as "NYT DOWNLOADS ON MCCAIN" what hypocrisy! If it were Obama or Hillary you could imagine the horrific backlash they'd get.

12. I can't understand it. |

I really don't know how they can complain, considering how long the NYT sat on stories that were critical of Bush and ignored obvious evidence that their claims about Weapons of Mass Destraction were just that.

It was Drudge who ran the McCain story last December when I'm sure he was hoping it'd help his Rudy...and now it's the Times fault. The irony drips over all who attempt to downplay it.

I don't trust the MSM on this. Let's see if this story has legs or it's just a prelude to hitting the Dems harder later on and then claiming to be fair and balanced.

How does that make them liberal media?

13. Exactly. I've mentioned the same in other threads. The Plame link |

and the Iraq war stuff was theirs--but the RW "conveniently" whines endlessly about how "unfair" they are.

They're just preempting whatever else is going to break soon by screaming "LIBERAL MEDIA!!!!11!"
The reaction of the RW isn't some Rovian conspiracy, it's CYA and a demonstration of Occam's Razor. The GOP is in complete disarray.

maybe the truth is that their guys are up to more shit, on the whole, so actual news to them is seen as biased.

28. Right, but what is the metaphor? (eta: I got it now) |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-21-08 05:54 PM by aikoaiko
ditto like photocopy?
eta: You're right, google is my friend.
Dittoheads Faithful listeners to The Rush Limbaugh Show.<22> As Limbaugh often explains in his books and radio show, these are not necessarily those who agree with his views. Rather, he believes they are people who love the show and what he's doing, and hope he never stops doing it. The term came into use because callers would frequently begin by giving praise and thanks to Limbaugh. Knowing that the caller’s and listener’s time is valuable, one caller simply said roughly "ditto to what those guys said (how much they enjoyed the show)." Thereafter, callers were encouraged to simply say, “Dittos,” and then get right to their point. Thus, long-time listeners would begin their calls with “Dittos, Rush,” leading to the term “dittoheads.” The term is also used pejoratively by critics of Limbaugh, who claim that his listeners simply copy his political views without any independent thought. Since then, the phrase has been upgraded to "mega dittos."
