Question to Dobbs supporters: |
|
If his rants on illegal immigration is truly about the working class, why did he cross every picket line he could during the writers strike. He was on Conan, Stewart AND Colbert.

who defend him as *tough on the issues* or *standing up for the working man*

3. Because the immigrants didn't take the writers' jobs. |

But anyway...
Dobbs is a tool. In the literal sense. He is there to rant about dark skinned people and threats to the USA. That will draw a particular audience. (Unfortunately one that is way larger than it should be in the year 2008).
That audience is then sold to advertisers. The more he ramps up his rhetoric, the more coverage he gets online. That creates interest, which increases his audience, which is in turn sold to advertisers.
How many people here go to the website that cannot be named, or watch Fox News, or quote Coulter, etc? It drives traffic, therefore advertising. Ignoring these inflammatory sources will hurt them far more than boycotts, slogans, etc.
Back to Dobbs. He doesn't care in the least what people think about him. As long as he can sell books and eyeballs, he's going to be around. When people decide to stop quoting him, watching him, etc., he'll disappear.
