I just saw a little clip of McCain addressing the brouhaha -- |
|
Since he called a press conference, I thought he'd come out swinging. He sounded beaten down.
I was surprised.

1. he sounded very weak . . . |
|
some of his denials sounded very artificial.
I think he had a hard time not swallowing as he denied the charges. . His performance was not one of an innocent person.

2. I really believe he's sick again and won't admit it. |
|
I think that's why the Mrs. is constantly at his side - she's afraid he's going to keel over.
Not only do I believe he's sick - I believe he's a lot more sick than he's ever been, and this campaign is literally his last hurrah.

4. I don't think he's sick. |
|
Well, he could be. But I think it's campaign fatigue. He just can't compete, the GOP knows they'll lose, and they shoved McCain out there like a sacrificial lamb.

If this thing has legs we could be looking at a very short election season.

5. He thought it was finally his "turn" and now his past is coming back |
|
and is biting him on his ass..
He thought (mistakenly) that the press were his buddies..
You could tell that Cindy did some crying last night too..
I feel for them both on a personal level, BUT they both asked for the scrutiny, by running for president..

His answers, no....no.....no....no.
I've never see him so soft-spoken, short-spoken and emotionless.

8. Soft spoken and WEAK sounding. It's a little alarming. This process would |
|
take its toll on anyone, and at his age...
I believe physically his treatment in Viet Nam was brutal, and that may be making a reappearance now too, as he ages.
As for the melanoma -- I had that, too. At the time I had it you either got it all, or you were dead. (I think they have treatment for it now, but I'm not sure.) IF they got it all, then he's essentially okay in that department, but I don't know the specifics of his case.
