Executive Power with a Democrat in the White House

Will the Congress work to weaken and roll back the awesome executive power given during Bush/Cheney's reign?

Do the Republicans really want to hand that kind of power over to a Democratic Administration? or will they suddenly want to debate and sunset some of these provisions?

1. Every single executive order will be a march to fascism

when a Democrat writes one.

And can you imagine what the major media will be like if a Democrat takes office and uses a signing statement? Holy mackerel!

2. That is a very interesting question...

They really hadn't anticipated a Democrat with the powers they gave the office Pretty damned stupid of them, in my opinion. I imagine they'll have to do some deep soul-searching (so to speak) to determine how they're going to deal with the question in the future.

3. They'll probably be rolled back the week before Bush leaves office
