Rove Implicated in Don Siegelman Case
Report: Rove Wanted Dirt on Alabama Gov.

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: February 21, 2008
Filed at 9:15 p.m. ET

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A former Republican campaign worker claims that President Bush's former top political adviser, Karl Rove, asked her to find evidence that the Democratic governor of Alabama at the time was cheating on his wife, according to an upcoming broadcast of ''60 Minutes.''

Jill Simpson, who has long alleged that Rove may have influenced the corruption prosecution of former Gov. Don Siegelman, makes the claim against Rove in a broadcast scheduled to be aired Sunday, according to a statement from CBS.

Simpson testified to congressional investigators last year that she overheard conversations among Republicans in 2002 indicating that Rove was involved in the Justice Department's prosecution of Siegelman. She has never before said that Rove pressed her for evidence of marital infidelity in spite of testifying to congressional lawyers last year, submitting a sworn affidavit and speaking extensively with reporters.

Rove's attorney, Robert Luskin, denied the allegation.

3. I don't like human suffering.....but I'd love to see KKKarl suffer.
But then again, my first statement assumes Rove is human.

4. Rove, what a scum human being
bush has probably dispatched him to Paraguay to set up housekeeping and to avoid justice. It must really suck being a member of the gop crime family. Just a total septic tank of a universe they live in.

8. I am glad this story is getting play, but what I saw on
Huffington Post this morning was extremely disappointing. The major focus of the story and 95% of the comments was Rove. Look, we all know Rove is a heartless dough boy without morals and any sort of ethics at all, and he will burn in hell for what he has done, but the point of this story should be, in my opinion, a DEMOCRAT has been disappeared. A Democrat has been tossed in jail FOR NO REASON other than he was a democrat. The story is Don Siegelman and the Alabama so-called christian rebubs that allowed this to happen. Not Karl Rove.
