Isn't this what was said about 2004 and then again in 2006 midterms ?

Now it's 2008 that's all full of new hope . does this ever end ? My answer , NO it does not .

6. It ends when everybody...
...has the same bad attitude you do, and we have eternal despotism here.

7. If you don't like my attitude then why remark ?
It's people like you who come along and stick their noses into everything with some lame comment that makes people like me feel the way i do . As if a smart ass remark will somehow change anything .

8. I think 2004 really was the most important election in decades
I think 2004 really was the most important election in decades and we lost. Oh, we can say we didn't lose, it was stolen. That's nothing more than Gettysburg buffs arguing over whose fault Lee's defeat was. The important thing is we lost the chance to reverse the Bushification of every sector of our government. We have learned to accept incompetence, illogic, and illegality as a way of life, and I don't think this election is about reversing that. When we lost 2004, we really lost it all.

If the people would have fought this anyway they could then this last 4 years where the most damage has accured would never have happened .

It's like steering the car around a post to scuff the fender where repair is possible of letting it hit the post head on and try to repair the car after that .

10. Oh, they always say that. 2004 was much more important than this year
In 2004 America had the chance to make Bushism and PNACism the abberrant results of a hijacked election. If the Kerry administration had taken office in 2005, America would've spent ten years undoing the damage Bush and the Republicans had caused. By giving the neocons another term to shit up the human nest, cleaning up the consequences of Bush policies will be a dominant theme for most of the rest of this century.

Ethics in government, global warming, US indebtedness, Chinese expansion into Africa & east Asia, and Constitutional law are just a few of the areas where America is substantially further back because of Bush. Nevermind the opportunity costs pissed away because Bush-Cheney fucked up the response to 9-11 and turned the whole world against us.

11. I first heard the "most important" B.S. in 1968 when they wanted us to vote for Humpty.
"History has tried to teach us that we can't have good government under politicians. Now, to go and stick one at the very head of government couldn’t be wise." - Mark Twain
