Is "bribery" OK if it prevents war and violence? |
|
In the last few days, the young radical sheik, Sadr, has declared that he was ready to call off his ceasefire. There was some concern that the violence would once again rise. However, yesterday, he declared that the "ceasefire" would continue. What changed his mind?
Did someone shovel him some more money to bribe his tribe? Is that OK if that is what happened? So long as we keep giving him money, he will continue to stop killing us? Is that really the cornerstone of the "surge" strategy?

Stops the shooting v. provides funding to purchase more weaponry.
Die now or die later. I guess it depends on whether or not you're on the wrong street when later stars to become now in a hail of AK fire.
It's a wheel. Flip a coin. I'll see you on the next come-around.
