Is today the beginning of Karl Rove's demise?
I don't know much about the Siegelman case but I've been following it enough to know that Karl Rove is involved and some people think he could end up in deep doo-doo over this. Finally 60 Minutes is running a story on it. I've become so jaded and worn out after 8 years of this crap. Maybe there's hope that justice will prevail in this case? I would love to see him behind bars.

1. He outed a CIA agent in a time of "war"
Somehow THIS is going to be his demise? Very doubtful.

2. Here's the danger:

If the Siegelman conviction is allowed to stand, despite all the very obvious illegality, Rove's influence will actually INCREASE.

5. "Noel Hillman and the Siegelman Case" Rove and Abramoff too!
This case is one tying big sections of a jigsaw together.
Rove, Chertoff, Abramoff, Gonzales, Scanlan, Hillman, Reed, Ashcroft, Norquist, .... the Corrupt Bastards Club Homeland Office, if you will.

"Noel Hillman and the Siegelman Case"
by Scott Horton - July 13, 2007 - http://www.harpers.org/archive/2007/07/hbc-90000509

Noel Hillman (photo) is a federal judge in Camden, New Jersey appointed to the court by President Bush in the spring of 2006. He gathered the support of New Jersey’s two Democratic senators, and his appointment was considered uncontroversial. Hillman was portrayed in the confirmation process as a “career prosecutor.” Early in 2007, the Bush White House decided to appoint Hillman to a coveted seat on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Again, Congressional support was lined up and Hillman’s confirmation seemed all but a “done deal.” And then something happened. New Jersey’s leading newspaper, the Newark Star-Ledger, put it this way in a report on June 10:11. “The Auditor,” The Newark Star-Ledger, Sunday, June 10, 2007, Perspective Section, p. 3, final ed.

Hillman, a former assistant U.S. attorney in New Jersey and the lead Justice Department prosecutor in the Jack Abramoff Capitol Hill lobbying scandal.......

8. If this doesn't do it, the vote caging scandal will
because the RNC was caught doing that in the 80s, there was a nasty court case over it, and they had to sign a pledge never to engage in it again.

Filthy Karl will eventually get what's coming to him. He's got too many crimes in his background for Stupid to pardon him for all of them.

10. is there even an investigation into the vote caging?
seems like all those "investigations" and "hearings" have fizzled away.

11. I think everything will be low key while Stupid holds pardon power
At least that's how I hope it will play out.

Until I get the word that Rove has died in prison I will not believe in justice.

12. This world would be a better place without Karl Rove.

I'm not suggesting any untimely misfortunes in his life, mind you. :eyes:

Just saying I would prefer he wasn't around.

13. The documentary "Bush's Brain" also shows Rove getting...
...ordinary officials railroaded and put in prison, and that didn't stop Newsweek from hiring Rove as a columnist.
