7. I don't understand the ref to Goodwill. I buy clothes at Goodwill. So do a lot of |
|
poor folks. Is that a bar to running for President?
Neutral on Nader; worried about Diebold, ES&S and Sequoia having a plausible third party candidate (name recognition--Nader) to distribute Obama (or Clinton) votes to, with malicious programming code. VERY easy to do without detection, in voting systems (spread like a cancer to the whole nation) run on trade secret, proprietary programming code, owned and controlled by these rightwing Bushite corporations, with virtually no audit/recount controls. I have no problem with people casting an honest vote for Nader (which I think they would be more likely to do against Clinton than Obama). That is their choice. I wouldn't do it, and never have (--although I do not think it made the critical difference in FL '00). I am more concerned about the parallel to Germany early 1930s, and the fracturing of the center/left which created the conditions for Hitler's rise. I think we must work within the Democratic Party to save our country, even if its leadership is exceedingly corrupt. (And a leadership that permitted, voted for and supported trade secret vote counting is without parallel as to corruption and abandonment of the very idea of democracy.) The Democratic Party is the only vehicle available to the majority for a broadbased revolution against the global corporate predators who rule over us, who have hijacked the U.S. military for a corporate oil war, who are looting us blind, and who are killing the planet.
So-o-o-o, I am not a supporter of Nader's candidacy. But I fail to understand why you insult those living in poverty, and have no choice but to buy second-hand clothes, or those who recycle clothes for environmental reasons, in this post.

10. It was a bank shot off Nader's traditional criticism of corporations, |
|
even as he is a stcokholder in some of those corporations.
I shop at Goodwill to save money and to have adventures.
