Ignorance is much worse than stupidity IMHO. He had every opportunity handed to him and he has done nothing to educate himself. He displays no curiosity or interest in anything. His only response is a grin and a not-so-witty quip. Most people grow out of this type of behaviour at an early age when they learn it is no longer cute or acceptable. Some people don't.
