They think they will change a few minds when they spew this garbage. The only nitwits in the crowd are already McCain supporters. Same thing goes for the right wing radio nut.
If anything, it has cost McCain some votes. Mainly, because he apologized. Republics don't go for apologists, since they are never wrong.
