Wondering who Hillary would select as a running mate if by some magical circumstance she were to win enough delegates to secure the nomination? Here's a hint from today's New York Times in an articled titled "Clinton Campaign Starts 5-Point Attack on Obama." Isn't that nice? The Times reports: After struggling for months to dent Senator Barack Obama’s candidacy, the campaign of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is now unleashing what one Clinton aide called a “kitchen sink” fusillade against Mr. Obama, pursuing five lines of attack since Saturday in hopes of stopping his political momentum. . . . . After denouncing Mr. Obama over the weekend for an anti-Clinton flier about the Nafta trade treaty, and then sarcastically portraying his message of hope Sunday as naïve, Mrs. Clinton delivered a blistering speech on Monday that compared Mr. Obama’s lack of foreign policy experience to that of the candidate George W. Bush. . . . . But the attack that received the most pop, on cable television and blogs, came after a photograph of Mr. Obama in ceremonial African garb appeared on the Drudge Report, and the item’s author, Matt Drudge, claimed that the image was provided by a Clinton staff member. Mrs. Clinton stood on stage with a half-dozen retired military officials, including Gen. Wesley K. Clark , who introduced her. “I’m convinced that when the going gets tough, Hillary Clinton will never let America down,” General Clark said.

Tonight's debates should be interesting.

In other horrifying news, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Goerge Casey wanred the Senate Armed Services Committee that combat in Afghanistan and Iraq has left "our Army out of balance, consumed by the current fight, unable to do the things we know we need to do to properly sustain our all-volunteer force, and could affect troop levels in the near future." According to CNN. Hey - maybe its time for another surge! That worked, right!?

Speaking of our used and abused military, the Marine Corps wants an investigation into the cruel and unconscionable delay of delivery of life-saving armored vehicles to combat troops in Iraq. Once again, from CNN: "Casualties could have been reduced by half among Marines in Iraq if specially armored vehicles had been deployed more quickly in some cases, a report to the Pentagon says. Marine Corps spokesman Col. David Lapan said the Defense Department's inspector general wants to investigate the report's claims that bureaucratic delays undermined the program to develop the armored vehicles. The program was designed to provide combat forces with Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles, known by the acronym MRAPs. "

What did Rumsferatu say? You go to war with the army you have, not the army you wish you had? Tell that to the widows and the orphaned children. And Insane McCain wants another 100 years of this. Disgusting.
