Cunningham's biting back at McCain is getting AIR, folks!
I have seen the reports a couple of times on NBC this morning.. Cunningham did not LIKE being dissed by the guy he introduced, apparently.. He said he was "thrown under the wheels of the 'straight talk express'"

How delicious is that?

2. Given Cunningham's racist tirade, I wish he was LITERALLY thrown...
...under the bus. ;)

14. Okay, please take this in the constructive way it is intended, thanks.
I heard what I thought was a complete audio of Cunningham's tirade. He was obviously anti-Obama and was stupidly accusing the MSM of being nicer to Democrats than to Republicans, but I didn't hear any racial slurs or pointed racism. Maybe I didn't get the whole tape, but all I heard that everyone is upset about is Cunningham using Obama's middle name. Is that what he said that was "racist" - Hussein? If that is all, then I just don't get it. Why is everyone buying into the idea that there is something wrong or shameful about Obama's middle name. He needs to embrace it and move on - he owns it and he should be proud of it. I would be.

8. If you think he will "shut up"
Then you don't know him.

He is a loudmouth supreme.

Hate the scum bag myself. Hate the network he airs on (WLW.)

I have to say tho... muny, many people I know listen and believe what he says.

:(

10. I doubt he will shut up
but the other RW talkers will rally around him like pus on a wound.

McCain did himself no favors - RW talk will ratchet up their open dislike for McCain now that one of "them" has been singled out.

Be careful though -they usually pull off this crap for the extra coverage.

5. Lots of CNN Airtime to Attack McCain
Yes, CNN spent a great amount of time Tues. evening on this story, and gave Cunningham much air time. Cunningham bashed McCain as not being a true conservative, and said McCain threw him under the straight talk express bus.

For non-right wing voters, however, the CNN story gave McCain the opportunity to come across as rational and a gentleman.

9. McCain will get savaged by the RW talkwhores
because they collectively bawl like little babies when one of their own is challenged.

McCain will pay for dearly for offending Cunningham - It's what the low-life talk radio scum do to their opponents.

7. Cunningham is a nutcase. I worked in a lawfirm in Cincy and he was a frequent visitor
He has a bit following in Ohio with some of the diehard biggots that liver there and there are quite a few of them. The dems have made some inroads, but the chance that it will ever go completely dem isn't very likely. One can hope though.

11. It is all to make McCain look like a good guy
Make it "appear" that McCain did the right thing.

I don't believe McCain did the right thing or he would have destroyed Cunningham the moment he hit the stage following the remarks.

17. His staffers came up with the lame excuse that they hadn't "vetted" him..
the whole thing is bullshit. No Presidential candidate has any business sharing a stage with a hateful racist like him.

12. I think that it was more of a racist slur for McCain to apologize for
someone using Obama's actual name. Obama has no reason to be ashamed of his name and no one needs to apologize to him for using it. It is the hight of bigotry to say that Obama's middle name is something to be ashamed of. This whole topic just sucks badly...

18. It is when you use someone's name to mock them..
of course he shouldn't be ashamed, it was the way in which it was used that is offensive.
