Is "heritage" a code word?

There's the Heritage Foundation, there's the new Florida tag,"Confederate Heritage."

I've also notice a certain Scottish group in the area use it, "Heritage." And since I'm near Tom Fenney's district, I sometimes wonder if there's more going on than meets the eye.

Anyone notice it too? Is "Heritage" their new hidden word?

3. Yeah brand new - that's why the Heritage foundation has been around

since 1973.

And why southerners can't shut up about their proud heritage.

Hidden word? Heritage refers to a respect for the wonderful things our ancestors have done; naturally it's appealing to conservatives who, in theory, like doing things the old ways and not going forward. It's like saying Progressive is a liberal "hidden word."

Well I guess Conservatives do say that. So maybe turnabout is fair play.

I think we need to abolish language itself - our ancestors did fine just grunting and pointing - why can't we?

Once you allow language into the mind, than you are creating a context for new and dangerous ideas to be expressed and propagated.

I recognize that the word has been around forever, just as the word "conservative" has been around. But the connotations are changing. That's what I'm pointing out.

I can be proud of my heritage because I am very supportive that my ancestors were very politically active. Until my dad, all the men on his side of the family were in the military. Prior to that we were booted out of England for being too outspoken for democracy. Kings tend to not like that too much.

Confederate. I suspect that we might find that the hardcore "heritage" groups, have ancestorial roots somewhere on the British Isle. There just seems to be a pattern. But, maybe just where I live?

With the word, "heritage" I sometimes think of the stone of destiny. He who has the stone, controls the world. That kind of manifest destiny may be genetically wired in some. It's now in England, but before it ended up there, it came from somewhere else.

There's a lot not to like. You can say that about any group. The ones that are of concern, are the ones who might use those networks to gain unfair advantages, and to use dirty tricks to stop someone from exposing those unfair advantages.
