Wish me luck, today I present the case of Dr. ML King Jr. to labor

I know this. Many Americans do not. Dr. King went to Atlanta in support of over 1,000 non union (mostly black) men and women. This group no voice on the job that offered low pay, no respect, and no safety. He lead the march of I am a man. His last speech was while organizing for AFSCME. He lost his life the next day.

Today I'm formally asking my local labor federation to endorse and promote a local effort to rename a freeway after Dr. King. Strange this happens at the end of black history month. I don't think I'll have any trouble. But I am nervous.
