US Mint rejects quarter featuring voting rights message
WASHINGTON (Map, News) - The U.S. Mint has rejected the designs for a commemorative D.C. quarter because they include the words "Taxation Without Representation."

The D.C. government submitted three designs Monday in hopes that the coins would help educate people about the district's lack of voting rights in Congress.

In a statement Wednesday, the Mint said it was taking no position on the merits of the issue, but that "the proposed inscription is clearly controversial and, therefore, inappropriate."

Typical bullshit from the last 7 years. The truth is "too controversial". :eyes: :banghead:

1. And our founding fathers continue to spin in their graves
Hell, if they were alive today and tried to do what they did back in the day, they'd be busted as terrorist so fast it would make your head spin. Freedom? Off to Gitmo with you!
