Bush would be in prison if ........
...... he was caught taking steroids. Or human growth hormone.

Instead, because he only committed crimes against the country, the people, the Constitution, and Humanity, he gets to escape investigation, let alone prosecution.

2. Yeah! And the joke is that if he took these substances he would be facing
imminent health problems and a likely early death. Punishment enough in my mind!

13. I don't know about that.
I've never read anything about the long-term effects of cocaine use. Does it cause devastating problems like HGH use does?

Just look at how messed up * is.

"Minimal brain damage" like * has, is one of the many side effects of cocaine use.

24. Oh just enlarged hearts and death
All the people I know, save for a couple, who used cocaine on a regular bases are dead now, some have been dead for years too. Me I only snorted cocaine a few times years ago and I'm still plugging along. I remember when I wasn't cool with these friends because I didn't do crank or cocaine but you know what I still have my life and I am still chewing my food using my own teeth. Teeth take a beating for users of both crank and cocaine plus pretty much the whole body. I was an imbiber of liquor for more years than I like to admit and I have health problems associated with it but I've been off the bottle for quite some time now and I must say I do feel better for it. I still have a beer or a glass of wine from time to time but no more of the hard stuff. I gave up the bottle on my 56th or 57th birthday as a present to my wife and family, hell I can't even remember which it was its been so long.

15. If he were black.
Sad, but true. The kind of screw-ups he pulled - even before the Presidency - would have earned him jail time and a record if he'd been a poor African American. The only reason he didn't get a sentence for DUI, or a court martial for going AWOL, is his family's money and influence.

Equal justice my fat fanny.

O.K. I'll take my medication now.

22. Now if we can connect Shrub to steroid use by his Texas Rangers? Good article
http://thinkprogress.org/2006/03/31/bush-steroids/

Baseball Steroid Investigation Shouldn’t Skip Over Bush’s Texas Rangers

Bud Selig, the commissioner of Major League Baseball, has tapped former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell to lead a thorough and impartial investigation into steroid use in professional baseball. Selig has given Mitchell the permission to “expand the investigation and to follow the evidence where it may lead” through at least the last 15 years.

From 1988 to 1994, President Bush was managing general partner of the Texas Rangers.

Among his players during that time, several — Ivan Rodriguez, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Pailmero (tested positive) and Jose Canseco (admitted) — are all alleged to have used steroids while playing for the Rangers under Bush.

Identifying players and suppliers of steroids in professional baseball will undoubtedly clean up the sport. But even more useful will be identifying owners who turn a blind eye to cheating, and rake in major dividends from power hitters like Barry Bonds.

President Bush has denied being aware of steroid use in his tenure as managing partner of the Rangers, and has called for an immediate stop to steroid use in professional sports.

We look forward to Mitchell’s final report.

– Sam Davis
