Mark My Words - 18 Months From Today Regular Gas Will Sell For Less Than $2.50/Gallon |
|
The price of crude will be less than $60 and at the pump it will be less than $2.50 by June 30, 2009.
And if there is so much as a single Cabinet memeber from the Bush Administration in jail by that time you can knock another 10% off of those estimates.

4. After they steal the election again, maybe $2.50 per litre. |
|
They've got to steal it or cancel it again, just to avoid jail.

|
Many people are still destined to die for this cabal. America cannot remain a Democracy and this crew remain free, theres no two ways about it. Its one or the other not both. This time WE have to get it right as there won't be another time.

We have reached peak oil. T.Boone Pickens says oil will reach $150/bbl in a few years. He accurately predicted $100 a barrel oil last year! Unless you can oust all the assholes taking oil lobby money in congress, which is probably close to 100% of them, don't expect huge drops in prices. I am invested in several petroleum stocks in a heavily diversified portfolio, and all have produced as of late. I expect they will continue to make money.

12. What makes you think that a single member of the administration will be held |
|
accountable - forget about an indictment and conviction - for anything they have done? IF BO (or HC) win in November, they will do nothing to investigate or prosecute the criminals. Obama will put a bunch of his "across-the-aisle" friends in his administration. There will be NO accountability. Mark my words.

13. I don't. I think every one of them will walk free. |

That was what you might want to think of as a side bet. It won't happen, but if it did one of the overwhelmingly good effects would be to drive down the price of oil just a little bit further than its going to come down to anyway.
Jesus, would anyone just look at the simple law of supply and demand. Price should only go up when supply can not meet demand. You seen any gas lines anywhere? Just like Dorgan said on the Senate floor yesterday afternoon, between 40% and 60% of the current price of oil is coming from speculators in the market, pure and simple speculation, nothing at all to do with supply and demand. That speculative bubble can and will burst, just like every other bubble. One big Pop! and we are back to reason.

14. How do China and India figure into it? |

it was my impression that the increased demand had more to do with them than with us.

16. Perhaps supply and demand |
|
are no longer the primary forces here. I've been hearing a lot about how the recent surges in oil prices have less to do with supply and demand and everything to do with the inflation of the dollar. Investors are grabbing their dollars and investing in commodities. The bet is that while the dollar loses value, the commodity (oil, gold, silver, etc.) will retain its value. Those commodities can then be resold (maybe on international markets) and complete the speculator's cycle.
If inflation continues, how can this type of speculation be stopped?
