Remember when Kerry called out Bush in the debates on the cost of the Iraq war?
Kerry: "And if we'd used smart diplomacy, we could have saved $200 billion and an invasion of Iraq. And right now, Osama bin Laden might be in jail or dead. That's the war against terror."

Bush: My opponent says he has a plan; it sounds familiar, because it's called the Bush plan. We're going to train troops, and we are. We'll have 125,000 trained by the end of December. We're spending about $7 billion.

1. Oh for the "good-ole-days" when 200 billion might have been the top
One of the most telling aspects of this campaign is to hear how we could have fixed so much in our country (of course, we wouldn't have spent it all, since we wouldn't have borrowed from China for our own health and education)--so much money that is simply gone and we have nothing to show for it.
