Where the hell did all this snow come from?
Yesterday's prediction had us getting 3 inches on top of the dusting that was already on the ground. I just went out and measured, 15 inches of new snow since yesterday and its still snowing like hell.

What a time to be out of chocolate ice cream.

6. Simple
Temperatures in the US this year are about a half degree lower than the hundred year average... That combined with an active pacific means *allot* of snow storms..

7. In WI, we have had record snowfalls...
now the snowpiles on the street corners are 5+ feet high in some places and it makes every intersection crossing a freaking leap of faith! Our city is out of salt, can't keep up with the plowing and parking on campus is being slowly eaten up by encroaching snow banks...on a good note, it looks really pretty!

8. Here...

Snow is commonly formed when water vapor undergoes deposition, which is when water vapor changes directly to ice without first becoming a liquid, high in the atmosphere at a temperature of less than 32°F and then falls to the ground.
