William Buckley vs Noam Chomksy tv debate (1969) on YouTube- A MUST see

Defiantly check out the Buckley/Chomsky debate from 1969 on Youtube- one of the best intellectual debates I have seen in years- It was initially an interview of Chomsky, but turned into an all out debate-With Buckley standing for the right wing, Chomksy standing for the left wing.. For anyone who has seen this debate- what did you think? Chomsky was stellar, pointed out many instances of American meddling in foreign governments- Buckley didn't take kindly to such assertions.

He didn't flip out when getting owned this time in the debate and call Chomsky a "fucking queer" like he did Gore Vidal.

That buckley was a real class act.

2. Chomsky tore Buckley down with facts

It was a great debate- Chomsky calmly presented the realities and facts- Buckley denied many of Chomsky's assertions, but rather than refute his points with information, Buckley seemed to rely on ignorance of the facts. Buckley didn't strike me as Noam Chomsky's intellectual equal-
Yes, I recall the debate with Gore Vidal- Buckley was a prick in that one...
