Bush: I’m ‘focused’ on gas prices but unware of $4 gas
Bush: I’m ‘focused’ on gas prices but unware of $4 gas.

During his press conference today, a reporter asked President Bush what his “advice” would be to the “average American” who is “facing the prospect of $4 a gallon gasoline.” Bush replied, “That’s interesting, I hadn’t heard that.” Yet a few minutes later, Bush wouldn’t answer a question regarding donations for his presidential library because, he claimed, “I, frankly, have been focused elsewhere, like on gasoline prices.”

4. I wonder if the reason that he looks like sh*t
is that he has sincerely quit drinking, however, it is a result of his handlers beating him in a backroom after pulling public speaking debacles such as this each and every time...

6. We KNOW that!!
Of course he's focused on padding the profits for his main benefactors!
Lying dog that he is.
Market forces - my ass. The rise in gas prices coincides only with this bastard's administration.

I also found his economic assessment interesting. "No recession", he claims. He's probably right at least technically. The FED will continue to manipulate the data and pour money into the supply to officially hold off a recession - until he leaves office.
Then the FED will pounce on the next poor bastard, if it happens to be a Dem. If it's a Puke, then the FED will continue the shell game until inflation is just about out of control and then start raising the rates and claim victory over that! Economics 101, Repuklican style.

17. In north central Wasington state
It's up to $3.52 this week. It has gone up 3 times in one week here!

There is a huge surplus of gas and oil right now, more than in the last 14 years, and it's no longer a "supply and demand" issue, but and "investment" issue. The investros are buying up oil because the American dollar is down, and waiting to make a "killing" when they re-sell it at even larger profits! It's just more greed by the Bush "corportate" cartel. Food prices are going sky high also, and Bush does't know what the hell is going on, and he don't care.

I also wonder what the hell congress is doing, because they sure aren't helping the people of this country. I guess investigating "steriod" use in sports has a hither priority than helping get this country back on track, and helping the people who can barely afford to live these days!

The bad think is that as has already been mentioned, they will keep the numbers looking good till they see who gets elected, and if it's a dem, well all the problems Bush put on this country will be stuck on the new dem president!

14. Well, there are known unknowns, and unknown unknowns
Too bad it came out in the order it did: "I hadn't heard about gas going up to $4 a gallon" followed by how focused he is on the price of gas. It would be an historic day indeed if the press accepted something Stupidhead said ("I'm focused on other things, like gas prices"), and then followed up on it ("What do you intend to do about rising gas prices? You certainly had a lot to say when gas rose to $1.50 a gallon under Clinton; now it's threatening to go to $4 a gallon") instead of just faithfully transcribing his incoherent ramblings.

It's hard to shake the feeling that everyone in the room at that press conference was about as useful as tits on a boar.

16. Bush concluded by saying
"where is this four dollar gas being sold? I assured Exxon and other oil companies that a gallon of regular would cost five dollars a gallon by the time I left office and I aim to meet that promise! I wont stop fighting until we achieve five dollar a gallong gas. Heh heh."

These affluent bastards don't worry about the price of food or fuel.

Because they don't have to.

Hell, they probably make a bigger profit and thus, more money when prices are higher.

Up, down, they don't give a shit.
