7. CNN...had footage ready to go...as if it had been prepared in advance... |
|
 They just showed a big feature on him ...and it didn't look thrown together at the last minute. Even showed that he was "marked by the Taliban." I figured it was just more of CNN's warmongering for sensationalism.

Don't we enjoy a free press? What else should the media keep from the public?

12. Because 3rd in line to the throne = giant bulls-eye |

and the other non-royal members of his unit = sitting ducks.
I think it's admirable of him to serve his time, but we don't have to make it quite so damn easy to target him and his unit just because it's him.

14. Exactly - he didn't want to put his fellow soldiers in extra danger |
|
As to CNN's coverage, they were prepared just restrained. The media were able to interview him prior to and during deployment with the proviso that they would hold off release of the info until he returned home. Here's lots of coverage from a British paper. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=522552&in_page_id=1770&ct=5
