If you are going to criticize someone for not wearing a flag lapel pin...
make sure you are wearing one if you think it is so damned important.

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/02/28/kingston-caught-without-american-flag-lapel-pin/

On MSNBC’s Live With Dan Abrams last night, Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA) said it was okay to “question” Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-IL) patriotism because he doesn’t regularly wear an American flag lapel pin. Kingston claimed that “everybody” in politics “wears them.” Asked by Abrams if he was wearing one, Kingston had to admit he wasn’t, saying, “I will wear one and I have worn one.” Kingston then feigned ignorance about the irony between his criticism of Obama and his own lack of a lapel pin. Watch it:

and your little dog, too...

Kingston's dad is a neighbor of mine. He's a nice guy.
Rep. Kingston, on the other hand, is a total piece of shit.

7. I'm working on coming out of my shell
As a freaking veteran that lapel pin thing really pisses me off. Lordy locusts and pestilence just roll right off me, but morons and their "scruples" just scratches the wrong scab.

8. uh . . . is this a male-only test of patriotism?
I do not believe I have seen any of the females wearing the pins.

or am I mistaken?

I just checked FOX - the source for tests of patriotism. Neil Cavuto has his on. However, E.D. Hill did not earlier today.

So, is it just for males? Or is E.D. unpatriotic?

12. Utterly Ridiculous
that they open their mouths to equate patriotism with a dayum lapel pin. The sad thing about it is that some simple minded folk buy into to this nonsense.

13. If I ever run for office
And this stupid non-issue raises its empty head, I will be mightily tempted to say, "I live in the United States; I don't need a constant reminder like some folks apparently do."

15. I'd like to see Obama start wearing a different lapel pin.
It would help to defuse this 'issue'. Maybe "UNITED STATES of AMERICA". This is what Obama represents, a united, not divided, USA. I think that at least as patriotic as the flag.

16. Wearing a flag lapel pin does not make one a patriot
I've often wanted to have an American flag tattooed on my ass. That way when I tell people to "kiss my ass" they could do so and honor the American flag at the same time!!!:headbang:
