AP - Bush Says US Not Headed For A Recession |
|
President Bush said Thursday the country is not recession-bound and, despite expressing concern about slowing economic growth, rejected for now any additional stimulus efforts. "We acted robustly," he said. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080228/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush

3. Officially, we won't see it |
|
The FED is propping up the "official" definition of a recession through the typical short-term Repuke fiscal policies. This will continue as long as the moron is in office - or until the bottom just falls out.

5. This from someone with no concept of the current price of gasoline. . . |
|
From the article:
On one issue particularly worrisome to American consumers, there are indications that paying $4 for a gallon of gasoline is not out of the question once the summer driving season arrives. Asked about that, Bush said "That's interesting. I hadn't heard that. ... I know it's high now."

Doesn't pretty much the opposite happen whenever he sees fit to predict for us? Strap in, it's going to be a nasty, bumpy ride.

15. "Robust" must have been Condi's new word of the day for the Chimp |

"We acted robustly," he said.
"I believe that our economy has got the fundamentals in place for us to ... grow and continue growing, more robustly hopefully than we're growing now,"
The stimulus package was robust, according to Bush. The economy will be robust, according to Bush.
I think it's mainly a "bust".
