A little help and some ideas on how to respond to an email from a conservative.
I’m convinced. I should no longer take responsibility for my actions. I now realize the conditions I exist in are not my fault. I am a victim of my circumstances. I am grateful for unions, lawyers, and insurance companies for making sure that my family line has existed for as long as it has. It is nearly a miracle that my genes survived through the dark ages when unions, lawyers, and insurance companies did not absorb the profits of my for fathers.

I have yet to read of a lawsuit that I agreed with let alone the astronomical dollars that result from it.

I will continue to ride this ship, thankful that hard working conservatives keep it floating. I hope there is sufficient profit in this journey to keep the financiers interested.

1. reply with "A day in the life of Joe Republican"
Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised.

All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe gets it too.

He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.

Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws to stop industries from polluting our air.

He walks on the government-provided sidewalk to subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union.

If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It is noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.

Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. Joe also forgets that his in addition to his federally subsidized student loans, he attended a state funded university.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards to go along with the tax-payer funded roads.

He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans.

The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification.

He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to.

Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."

18. Oh AZDem!
I so needed this when my uber Repub brother sent me yet another crap RW e-mail

with links to an article from a " reknown" psychiatrist stating that " liberals were clinically insane".

I could only read the first few sentences- " sense of entitlement" etc.

I deleted it as I do all the rest- But if I had this, I'd have sent it right back to him.

Otherwise he's OK- we never discuss politics fact to face.

Next time he sends me a crap RW article, this is going right back to him.

Thanks!

:pals:

4. wait... who has "yet to read a lawsuit that I ageed with let alone the astronomical dollars that
result from it." Which doesn't even make sense, but I digress.

Am I really to believe this person actually sits around reading legal cases day after day and still has not found one that had a reasonable conclusion?

God. These people are just idiots.

As for genes surviving the "dark ages" - I have unions to thank for my parents having the ability to put me and my 2 siblings through college.

6. How about "You don't get off that easy, bud. YOU foisted GWB upon the world
and because of YOU our country is massively in debt, saddled with babysitting a messy civil war in a country we should never have invaded. Because of YOU our military is close to collapse, our injured soldiers are subjected to horrific conditions in overworked, understaffed and underfunded military hospitals. These conditions ARE YOUR FAULT. You voted for this administration. You are so cowardly that you willingly allowed the desecration of the constitution and the destruction of the bill of rights in a misguided belief that doing so would somehow "protect" you from terrorists. And THEN you voted Bush/Cheney back in for a second term. The economy is in shambles, recession upon us, our infrastructure crumbling and we cannot fix it because we spend billions of dollars every month for Iraq and Afghanistan. YOU DO NOT GET OFF SO EASILY - these conditions ARE YOUR FAULT!"

9. Tell him to read Upton Sinclairs "The Jungle." If it were not for law suits
Edited on Thu Feb-28-08 07:11 PM by rainy
to protect the public he could be eating rat shit when he eats grains. If not for unions if he lost an arm on a machine at work that had no safty parts the company could throw him out in the streets and hire the next man at the gate.
When he's at the hospital and they cut off his left leg instead of his right he'll just have to get over it.
Lets keep the list going.....

10. Try this
OMG THANK-YOU! for your brilliantly and impeccably worded message. I had no idea how evil liberals were.

It was so inspiring that from now on I will vote republican for the rest of my life.

I will start going to church and do/believe whatever they tell me.

I will stop giving money to bums on the street.

I will support any effort by our government to kill people who disrespect American values.

I now understand that the way to save America is to consume as much as I can.

I now brutally spank my kids for saying the L word or the D word or any thing with "hill" in it.

I even grind the "Liberty" off of all my coins because it sounds like liberals.

Thank you, thank you for changing my life for the better.

12. Tell them you are glad they agree GWB's presidency is illegitimate
"I have yet to read of a lawsuit that I agreed with"

GWB would not be president right now if it weren't for lawyers and a lawsuit.

13. This guy's mind is not only closed, it's nailed shut.
Save yourself the aggravation and put him on block.

He didn't even read your mail. Count on it. If he had, he might have answered it instead of sending boilerplate.

"We had no idea of knowing (Insert levees, 9-11, Kurds & Turks)"

Still blaming Clinton for everything? If not him, Carter? FDR?

Amazing how nothing is ever Reagan's, Poppy's, Nixon's or Hoover's fault, ain't it?

We'll be making the ship a more humane one, while conservatives keep trying to return ua all to 1103 A.D.

As long as blood feeds Cheyney's pockets, you have nothing to fear. He'll bankroll anything that kills.
