Just in case no one posed it - The Cons are in SERIOUS trouble in Canada
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2008/02/28/szabo-cadman.html

Caught trying to Bribe a dying MP. Stephen Harper was shouted down today. Now, there's as much time as the libs want to make a big deal out of this, then call and election. What burried the Libs last election, is now happening to the cons... yeeha!

2. Stephane Dion as Prime Minister and a Democratic President here.
Yeah, that's pretty cool. :-)

And that is rather ironic about the Conservatives being brought down for the same reason the Liberals were. Either ironic or just plain fucking stupid.

3. There are some real advantages to a parliamentary system
The ruling party can't say, "The other party screwed up my wonderful programs."

Furthermore, if we had a parliamentary system, Bush would have been gone in 2006.

24. If you had a parliamentary system...
Bush would be forced to answer questions from opposition members almost daily.

Think about how much fun CSPAN viewing would be.

No one's admitting to it as a bribe and Cadman's wife is now the conservative rep in Surrey North...so she ain't talking!

He didn't talk his way out of it. He was SLAMMED in question period today and humiliated. Cadman's wife has all day been saying this deal was offered. Plus, now they've caught Harper on tape talking about it. Watch the news.

Well, nope.. total opposite. You can trust me. I won't say where I work, but let's just say a guy three feet away from me is speaking to Jody Cadman as I write this.

16. In trying to hide their misdeeds in this affair the Cons are
simply throwing his widow under the bus. The Cons answer to it all is that Chuck Cadman was an honourable man and he said that no bribe was proffered and to question such "facts" is to dishonour an honourable man. That is their mantra and they use it ad naseum to obfuscate any inquiries into this matter.

Scroll down to the bottom for the video montage.

"I know that, uh, there were discussions, uh...This is not for publication?"

17. Heard this on the news
today. This story is incredible! Trying to bribe a man dying of cancer is one for the books. I was glad to hear that the MP did not go for it. These are the quiet heroes who give us hope.

19. The Liberals don't dare call an election
...or they would have done so already. They've had plenty of opportunities - two in the last week.

(Full disclosure: I'm literally a Card Carrying Liberal)

Dionne has been a total embarassement as a leader. It's time for him to step aside for someone with a clearly articulated view of Canada. I have no idea who that might be unless Anne McLellan comes out of retirement.

22. Yeah, offered him $1M to vote with them
But of course, they called it a "life insurance policy". They knew he was going to die.

His daughter is telling the details right now.

So basically, he had to make a choice between his principles and a cool million for his family.

He stuck with his principles.
