Ricin Found in Las Vegas Motel Room

Ricin Found in Las Vegas Motel Room

A man is in a coma after exposure to what authorities say is the deadly poison ricin discovered in a Las Vegas motel room.

According to a Las Vegas television station and CNN, the man who was staying at the Extended Stay America called for help on February 14, complaining of respiratory distress.

On Thursday, a friend or relative who was retrieving the man's belongings brought a small bag with a small container apparently containing the toxin to the motel manager's office Thursday afternoon. The man reportedly said he found the bag in the motel room.

It is unknown how the ricin came to be in the room. The FBI and police do not believe foul play nor terrorism is involved.

place, if not to poison people? Do complete idiots run every newspaper in this country? Can't we even get reasonable answers to perfectly normal questions anymore?

Since there was ricin powder AND castor beans in the room, I'm sure the cops figure the coma guy to be a poisoner. That's apparently why his name in not in this newspaper report.

5. Indeed, it is not like it is laying around or in the store for people to buy
That stuff is rather uncommon.
