We are stronger, politically, when we admit our weaknesses. |

Lately, I have been really vociferous in my attacks against certain right wing forces I can't stand, but I've found that the most effective way to make things better is to sometimes admit that I have written a nasty, bad letter to someone and apologize and then engage them in discourse.
This feels so much better to me than just harboring so much hatred and contempt for everyone I disagree with on my shoulders.
A lot of times, I realize I'm just like every other human being. There's nothing better about me, or worse about anyone else. I just want to have my life mean something, and I don't want to harm others, and I want to do my best, given my handicaps, to help in some way.

lies not just in the admission of a fault, but in the proactive way you are addressing it.
Very well said.
