Web site question - Need farly quick answers.
I have a friend in the Kansas City area, who this last week had her long time business web site taken off because of a dispute between the site owner and the web site administrator. The web site administrator is getting out of the business. I'm assuming the code is still there and can be transfered to another site.

We are looking for solutions here. What should we be looking for in another site? What should we avoid? What we need are ideas for another good site and get the code transfered.

Help! This is costing exposure while she is trying to start up a web based business.

3. Be very carefully about where you are hosted, or you may be blacklisted as
a spam server hosted site.

5. hostgator.com - they host 2 of my servers, never have problems
They will hold your hand all the way through.

I do NOT recommend godaddy.com, btw.

7. I use HostMySite

They have very very high up time and good rates. But what you need depends on how much traffic your site expects and if there are special needs. Someone mentioned GoDaddy, they are good for DNS registration but apparently your name is already registered. You will need to get access to your registration and move the IP to whatever new hosting service you choose. It is possible to move the registration to something like GoDaddy if you want to do that.

8. I have 300+ domains and avoid Godaddy like the plague
They've given me nothing but grief. Just my .02.
