Howard Dean's speech at Georgetown for Black History Month...informative
From the DFA blog.

"This past Wednesday, DNC Chairman Gov. Howard Dean spoke at Georgetown University's Black History Month Student Forum. He covered a wide range of topics from John McCain's hypocrisy to the inclusiveness of the Democratic Party to the new technologies the Democratic Party will be using to turn out the vote. It is a great speech and afterward he takes questions from a panel of student leaders."

He also talked about how it is good to have independents paying attention to the Democratic Party. He said it makes us really work for their vote. He mentions how they avoid being a top down party. Advocates giving power to the people working for the party...that is what he did in the campaign.

Here is a link to a RealPlayer file from C-SPAN of the event.

He at the end quotes Eleanor Roosevelt: "You can not make me feel inferior unless I consent." He says the successes of every liberation movement happened when people stood up and said I am who I am, I am proud of who I am, this is what I believe, this is what I stand for.

3. Thanks for the heads up. At the end of this speech...
He is talking about how he borrowed millions for VA, Webb, I think..and that the DNC will have it paid off this month.

The last few minutes..the Q & A are the best part.

4. About John McCain...he said the DNC would be on the offensive.
They will not be answering or defending, just putting facts out there. He was very firm about that. Good for them. I notice the media is not covering it that much...but maybe later.
