Is the Missouri Catholic Conference Subsidizing Affirmative Action Ban?
The Missouri Catholic Conference is the largest single funder of the campaign to ban stem cell therapies and cures and repeal the 2006 voter approved stem cell amendment. According to campaign finance reports, they have already contributed $175,000 to get their do-over on the ballot.

But that's not all they are buying.

Their campaign has hired one Edee Baggett to gather signatures for their effort. In addition to the fronting the anti-stem cell amendment, Baggett is also leading the affirmative action ban. Almost certainly, Baggett is now pooling the Catholic Conference cash with that of the Klan backed affirmative action ban to put two clip boards in the hands of her signature gatherers.

The Catholic Conference has spent years arguing that a dollar spent on pap smears at Planned Parenthood was a dollar spent on abortion. Now their cash is in the hands of people who want to ban affirmative action.

We will be watching to see if Catholic teaching is good enough for the Catholic Conference.
