How are Democratic party civil servants being treated
under this administration? Are there any left that have not been forced out. I do know all the agency and department heads are Schedule Cs.

2. I don't see anything like that happening
Most of us are in place as we were before this Administration. Politics rarely comes up in the workplace, its just not discussed. Civil Service is a very PC place and anything controversial is not discussed.

3. Isn't it called the Hatch Act. My CS husband could not be
involved in party politics so he sent me instead.

6. There is that an more. Civil Service is very PC these days
no one wants to offend anyone. Apparently the EEOC has the highest percentage of EEO complaints filed and the IRS remains the most unhappy place to work and has the highest turnover.

upper GS ratings in the SSA have retired in the last few years because they just could not take it under * anymore. Shame to because they lost dedicated hard working people that took a major income hit by staying with the government.

Edited to add- These would be personal friends as you just do not talk politics at work and these days even more so if you are a Dem. You also are very careful of any emails, even personal that go through work.

5. My first husband died in 1981 at 59 . He was a Western water expert
and a Bur. of Reclamation employee who served as a Bureau Chief in DC before he died.

I'm doing research on Native tribes in the West and note that the Bur Rec has changed its stance a great deal following the Bush directives and the Natives are getting the shaft because of it.

7. Sounds like a Bush type thing
to do. The person he appointed to head SSA is a pro-personal accounts get rid of SSA believer. Since anyone he appoints has to be a Repuke first and an American second I just figure all department heads are trying to destroy their agencies. Bush has also been trying to place highly loyal party supporters into civil service jobs and is finally getting fought on that.

8. One of the first things a Dem pres has to do is clean up the Civil Service
and get some knowledgeble people back as Dept and Agency heads. This current bunch has all but destroyed our country.
