5. No meat for me.
I've been a vegetarian/vegan for close to 10 years. People in my family thought I was weird when I stopped eating meat, but now my sister and son have recently become vegetarians and my daughter is vegan. I hope a lot of people who aren't normally vegetarians participate today.

is it nerdy to admit about the only shows i watch besides MMA and news are american idol and food shows (top chef, anthony bourdain, and bizarre foods?)

I've just about got the pronunciation down.

The influx of "boat people" in the mid 1970s added a great deal to our local cuisine and culture. It's all good as far as I can tell, except maybe the illegal automatic weapon tracer fire into the air on Chinese New Year.

Since my cardiac near-miss (99% clogged arteries) 4 years ago,
I have had exactly one, count it, piece of pizza and zero sausages.

They still smell great at breakfast, but being alive smells better.
