Neil Bush is a Moonie

The dark epic of Sun Myung Moon is almost totally unknown to most of us--
amazingly, considering how much power Moon wields throughout the world,
and, especially, in these United States, where he has the Çhristianists in one
pocket, the Bush family in another, and the UN firmly in his sights. The Bush
Republicans would be nowhere without him; but, of course, the only billionaire
whose vast political influence we ever hear of is George Soros, whose funds
for liberal causes represent a tiny fraction of the endless cash cascading from
Moon's global enterprises, which include weapons factories, the world's
largest sushi supplier, certain joint ventures with the Yakuza and other
sources of enormous wealth.

16. Falwell & Moon: intimate cronies
Just like the Bush "Skull & Boner" family & allied cabal of republicon homelanders...

http://www.consortiumnews.com/2006/061406.html

"Another case of saving a right-wing icon occurred when the Rev. Jerry Falwell was facing financial ruin over the debts piling up at Liberty University.

"But the fundamentalist Christian school in Lynchburg, Va., got a last-minute bail-out in the mid-1990s ostensibly from two Virginia businessmen, Dan Reber and Jimmy Thomas, who used their non-profit Christian Heritage Foundation to snap up a large chunk of Liberty’s debt for $2.5 million, a fraction of its face value.

"Falwell rejoiced and called the moment “the greatest single day of financial advantage” in the school’s history, even though it was accomplished at the disadvantage of many small true-believing investors who had bought the church construction bonds through a Texas company.

"But Falwell’s secret benefactor behind the debt purchase was Sun Myung Moon, who was kept in the background partly because of his controversial Biblical interpretations that hold Jesus to have been a failure and because of Moon’s alleged brainwashing of thousands of young Americans, often shattering their bonds with their biological families."

21. Fundie 'leaders' have been pocketing millions from RevMoon for decades now.
The LEFT BEHIND books and Tim LaHaye (longtime Moon ally) have been beneficiaries since back in the day when LaHaye would brag about being expert in mind control.

24. It really looks like some sort of secret society of fascists...

but in this case, out in the open. Look into Moon's associations with the Yakuza (gambling syndicate) and the Third Reich war criminals who got him started.

26. Kerry included Yakuza as terrorists in 1996. It was part of his book The New War.
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 10:20 AM by blm
He warned about the growing problem of global terrorism and emphasized tracking their funding even to official governments.

No one in DC media thought Kerry's warnings were an important issue - not nearly as important as Ann Coulter's latest book.

19. Blackmail was a constant tool for his pal, GHWBush, as an armtwister for Nixon. Moon and
Poppy Bush developed their alliance in the 60s through CIA dealings.

11. blm, thank you so much for this thread
Most people, even here at DU, have NO idea of the influence in world politics that Moon has.

I'm not religious, but Moon is the anti-Christ. His connection to the Bush Crime Family cannot be ignored.

Moon's coronation in Washington D.C. can't be ignored.

http://dir.salon.com/story/news/feature/2004/06/21/moon/index.html

<snip>

Hail to the Moon king

The deeply weird coronation of Rev. Sun Myung Moon in a Senate office building -- crown, robes, the works -- is no longer one of Washington's best-kept secrets.

By John Gorenfeld

Jun 21, 2004 | You probably imagine your congressman hard at work in the Capitol debating legislation, making laws -- you know, governing. But your newspaper probably didn't tell you that one night in March, members of Congress hosted a crowning ritual for an ex-convict and multibillionaire who dressed up in maroon robes and declared himself the Second Coming.

On March 23, the Dirksen Senate Office Building was the scene of a coronation ceremony for Rev. Sun Myung Moon, owner of the conservative Washington Times newspaper and UPI wire service, who was given a bejeweled crown by Rep. Danny K. Davis, D-Ill. Afterward, Moon told his bipartisan audience of Washington power players he would save everyone on Earth as he had saved the souls of Hitler and Stalin -- the murderous dictators had been born again through him, he said. In a vision, Moon said the reformed Hitler and Stalin vouched for him, calling him "none other than humanity's Savior, Messiah, Returning Lord and True Parent."

To many observers, this bizarre scene would have looked like the apocalypse as depicted in "Left Behind" novels. Moon, 84, the benefactor of conservative foundations like the American Family Coalition -- who served time in the 1980s for tax fraud and conspiracy to obstruct justice -- has views somewhere to the right of the Taliban's Mullah Omar. Moon preaches that gays are "dung-eating dogs," Jews brought on the Holocaust by betraying Jesus, and the U.S. Constitution should be scrapped in favor of a system he calls "Godism" -- with him in charge. The man crowned "King of Peace" by congressmen once said, according to sermons reprinted in his church's Unification News: "Suppose I were to hit you with the baseball bat to stop you, bloodying your ear and breaking a bone or two, yet still you insisted on doing more work for Father."

What, exactly, drew at least a dozen members of Congress to Moon's coronation? (By the Unification Church's estimate, 81 congressmen attended, although that number is probably high.) The event was the grand finale of Moon's coast-to-coast "tear down the cross" Moonification tour, intended to remove Christian crosses from almost 300 churches in poor neighborhoods -- the idea being that the cross was an obstacle to uniting religions under Moon. Yet the Dirksen ceremony was sold as a celebration of world peace. According to a cheery promotional video released by Moon's International and Interreligious Federation for World Peace, the ceremony marked the dawn of "the era of the Eternal Peace Kingdom, one global family under God." Moon's coronation also cured God's pain, the announcer explains.

By all accounts, most of the congressmen in attendance didn't expect a coronation. Instead, they thought they were heading to an awards dinner honoring activists from their home states as "Ambassadors for Peace." A flier for the event claimed an impressive who's-who of organizers, including Republicans Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Rep. Roscoe Bartlett of Maryland and Charlie Black, a top Republican strategist. Democrats were named, too, like Rep. Harold Ford of Tennessee, who, incidentally, claims to have not even heard of the event.

20. Most GOP voters have no idea that thanks to Bushes, Moon controls more than HALF this nation's
fishing industry.

He also controls many of the studio spaces around DC, and for years has given bargain rate prices to the news networks - which is why you haven't seen any indepth reporting of Moon's activities on broadcast news since the early 90s.

12. this whole Bush/Moon/Paraguay business is both puzzling and scary . . .
I mean, both Bush and Moon have purchased LARGE tracts of land in Paraguay -- a country I understand does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S. (though I've not been able to confirm that) . . . the area where they've bought the land is both oil-rich and water-rich, and it seems rather obvious that something big is up . . . just what that something might be is what's puzzling and scary . . .

are Bush and Moon planning to make Paraguay the world headquarters for their "one world under Moon?" . . . will they turn control of precious water resources into control of not only the country, but the entire region? . . . will Bush and/or Moon be living in Paraguay? . . . and, if so, will Bush be beyond the long arm or U.S. law (if it still exists)? . . . (and, parenthetically, will the U.S. troops now in the region remain there to "protect" a former president?) . . .

what they have in mind is probably something I can't even imagine, and that scares me even more . . . they know all too well about the pending collapse of the U.S. economy and the dollar -- after all, Bush caused it -- and they've managed to raid the U.S. Treasury for untold billions that can be put to any number of nefarious uses . . . I hope that some enterprising (and honest) journalists are on the trail of the story, but I have a hunch that whatever is going on won't become evident until it actually happens . . .

and that REALLY scares me . . .

I doubt Bush paid much for it. Bushes and Moon have been partners for at least 5 decades by now.
