Seriously there is no game in the world with more streakers than cricket. Still this was the first time I saw a player knock him down. One crazy Aussie takes out another one. Those of us who watched this match didn't see the streaker live. They rarely are shown because that encourages more of them.

Funny as hell

1. Why not just have streakers play cricket?
Then more than bats would be swinging.:dem:

3. Time To Cut Off The Beer Sales
I thought it was football (American translation: soccer) that had the most streakers...or Sumo wrestling

Around here the stadiums have become armed camps...anyone who dares step on a field can expect the entire security operation to come down on him/her in a flash...thus no flash.

Several teams have decided to cut beer sales...the lsat period of the hockey game, after the 7th inning in baseball and fourth quarter in football and basketball to reduce some crazy fan from jumping on the court or the ensuing fights in the parking lot.

Cheers...

4. "He could have done some injury to Andrew Symonds..." How, by pullin' machete out of his naked ass?
Andrew Symonds is NOT a small guy; he's tall and fairly well-built. And he's going against a streaker fercrissake! Unless the guy is hung like a blue whale and swinging his thingy around like a battleaxe he's not gonna do much damage. :eyes:

him a new one.

http://blogs.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/monty/index.php/dailytelegraph/comments/long_live_streakers/

<snip>
If Andrew Symonds can drop the shoulder on a streaking fan, can he really defend the charge that he’s a thug?

The footage of all rounder Symonds attacking a harmless streaker is some of the most talked about action of the day.

A skinny bloke upholding a larrikin tradition that usually makes everyone stop and have a laugh, was barged to the ground by the biggest player in the game.

There was no provocation, Symonds was in no danger, he just stepped towards the bloke and dropped him. Big hero. It’s difficult to know why Symonds shouldn’t be on assault charges.

Old school players used to have a joke with the streaker who was usually being comically chased by police. The players and fans were usually cheering on a streaker.
Symonds is so prized in India that they want to take his freak show on the road and have paid a record amount for him to perform at the IPL. Show him a nude man and watch him go off.

10. Sometimes it livens up a cricket match
Watching a dozen security men unable to catch a usually drunken streaker is priceless. It only annoys the establishment morons.

12. I have noticed that there are more in American sports
these days. Usually we see a few during the cricket seasons in England and Australia. I can only remember one in the West Indies.

When I was quite young I remember the police throwing teargas at fans in the Eastern stand after they threw bottles on the fieldd because an umpire gave a bad decision. The funny part was the breeze was blowing East to West so all the teargas went into the club members' pavilion. That was fall down funny.
