1. Did you say Unicycle Bomber?
Sorry, I jest. I'm glad no one was injured. The chances are pretty good that the authorities will find the person who did this, as it doesn't sound like too professional of a job.

2. Young people forget that during the '70s there were LOTS of random bombings
This sort of thing has actually lessened during the past few decades..

7. and even the most radical of the loonies eventually grew up and saw
how stupid their actions were.. Sometimes youth IS wasted on the young..

Many of them are still in jail, I suppose..

They wasted their lives and hurt innocent people and we all ended up with Reagan and a whole shitload of McPrisons..

3. Well, it was Times Square ... even @ 4 AM, you have traffic
Heck, I've been there in the wee hours myself. We also have regular attacks on embassy row.

So please take your partisan agenda elsewhere. We don't need anarchists, period.

8. "What if this had happened when
there were lots of people around."

Seems obvious to me that the bomber did not intend to hurt anyone and that his/her intention was to make a statement. That is not to say the Bicycle Bomber should not be caught and punished. After all, could be baby steps on the bomber's part.

9. Right on schedule
Its an election year, so here comes some sort of "terrorism" that just coincidentally happens right after the war candidate obtains the GOP nomination.

Man - that's kind of weird. What big election news have they missed while pursuing the person who blew up a Recruiting center?

they need to spy on ALL Americans, ALL the time? You know, because anybody who opposes the war is a Terraist (TM)?

17. More PH34R
Apparently, some of you lot have forgotten to be piss-your-pants scared, like you were in 2004. So it’s time to crank up the PH34R machine so that you can obsess over purely local incidents. Don’t worry about extrapolating them to nationwide panic; that’s what our network and cable shows are for. So whether it’s some unoccupied luxury homes in Washington state going up in flames or a Molotov cocktail through the window of a military recruiting office, we’ll speculate, hypothesize, and fantasize about how bad it all could have been and encourage you to overreact accordingly.

Never mind actual depradations against your freedom and what America used to stand for, it’s time for all of you to get all jazzed about a busted window, and forget that your phone calls, e-mails, and day-to-day doings are being scrutinized with ill intent. And don’t for a minute dwell on the fact that these “terrorist” activities weren’t sniffed out by our faultless snoops. Just send more tax dollars and sign away more of your rights to an administration that’s grown accustomed to cashing blank checks.
